When I first started sharing my marketing resources for online trauma-informed coaches and somatic practitioners…
…I believed the biggest problem that was keeping them stuck between $2k–$5k per month was a lack of the right information.
See, coaches in this space simply didn’t have the right frameworks, tactics, or the right strategies for online coaches in transformational markets. Everything they were being taught came from online “guru’s” who became famous for essentially selling “how to make more money.”
So I made a decision. I scaled back the done-for-you agency side of my business so I could pour everything into creating educational resources that closed the information gap.
(Little did I know, information wasn’t the biggest problem these coaches were facing)
I spent months — honestly, years — collecting and organizing everything I knew about audience building, lead generation, and client acquisition (aka funnels) into courses that could help transformational coaches.
And I’m proud of what I built. Because it transformed the lives of about 30% of the coaches who utilized it.
But it’s always bothered me that the other 70(ish)% of coaches stayed stuck. The courses and resources just didn’t provide enough support.
I was basically just teaching them how to fish, but I never gave them a pole and I never guided them to where all the fish were at.
And what I came to realize was that there was actually a 2nd problem keeping most transformational coaches stuck. What was it?
Implementation paralysis. Or as I call it, EOTR (Execution Overwhelm & Threat Response).
Figuring out your messaging. Your offer and what to charge. What to say, how to say it, which platform to use, which strategy to prioritize, how to set up the tech. So the courses sit idle. The templates go unused. And the strategy that made so much sense during the webinar becomes a blur the next day.
When the day is spent holding space for people navigating emotional pain, trauma responses, grief, or dysregulation, there's often not a lot left in the tank. Building client-generating systems requires creative and decision-making energy. And tired people don't implement — tired people shut down.
For many coaches in this space, ADHD and other neurodivergent patterns play a major role in the implementation struggle — which often means information alone isn't enough. There can be plenty of vision, brilliance, and insight, but the wheels can come off fast without enough collaboration and support.
A lot of coaches get into this industry because they experienced a painful journey themselves. But oftentimes, coaches are still a work in progress (we all are) — still working through anxiety, self-worth, and imposter syndrome. All of which feeds the EOTR.
